weekends are here. i spend the day reading a book! its cat and dog theology. it was real and true each time i read a sentence, and my heart was just sinking with great guilt.
there was a question asked, "How many of you know Christians who are totally joyless?" The majority of people in our audiences raise their hands. They have discovered one reason why so many Chrisitians are joyless. Their salvation is basically fire insurance, and they are merely walking away from hell, focused on themselves. They have never discovered the treasure. Think about it. There is no joy in walking away from hell. Relief? YES.
We are focused on how they can be blessed by God that they never have time to think of people from other countries, much less to invite them to become a part of their lives and from that to make God real. Not only we are focused only on what God does for us and not on what God wants us to do in and through us.
i prayed that i will not let myself be the focus. but let God be my piority and i will continue finding the treasure of life (:
